Dear Customer,
For better tracking, and to avoid potential abuse of our trial offering, we will soon be integrating a license key as part of the Cloudify Premium installation process. Note that this change will not impact your current usage and will not affect the status of your membership; you will simply have to enter a license key, provided by email in the next couple of weeks, when you upgrade to our forthcoming version or later release.
Questions & answers about this latest update:
- Why are you adding a license?
Cloudify Premium is a subscription-based product requiring a license. This has always been the case but until now we have not built this feature into the product. - How do I acquire a license key?
Your license key will be provided via email within the next two weeks. You can contact Cloudify support to get a copy of your license key at any time. - Which versions require this license key?
A license key will be required from version 4.6 and onwards. Any version before 4.6 does not require a license activation key. - Does it apply to existing Cloudify managers or only to new ones?
Any Cloudify manager running v4.5.5 (or earlier) will continue to operate with no changes and does not require activation. Upgrading the manager to v4.6 (or to a later release) will require activation. - How many licenses do I need?
Typically a single license key is provided per customer- this key can be applied to all managers used by this account. - Who do I reach out to for more details?
More details on the operational aspects - e.g. implementing the license, single manager vs cluster implementations etc- will follow in an email in which your license will be provided. If you have any questions in the meantime please contact our support team.
Best regards,
Cloudify Support team
